Topic: The GDPR and internal communication: How to comply for 25th May 2018 at D minus 24?
Beginning on 25th May 2018, your obligations regarding the protection of personal data will change significantly under the General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter “the GDPR”). This will be followed soon afterwards by the forthcoming “e-Privacy” Regulation. The countdown is now underway and you now have less than four weeks to ensure your data activities comply and to implement measures aimed at guaranteeing proper protection for personal data under the strict requirements of the GDPR.
As part of the programme for this “last-chance” seminar, the speakers will introduce the subject by explaining the fundamentals behind the GDPR, as well as the content, key concepts, obligations and sanctions that form part of the new legislation. They will then talk about the impact that the new Regulation will have on internal communication and the steps that you need to take to ensure that your activities comply within the deadline set. The seminar will conclude with a “final check” of the procedures that need to be put in place urgently and a presentation of the ideal contractual framework required to achieve the optimum level of compliance (contracts, internal guidelines, data breach scenario, etc.). Proceedings will be rounded off with a Q&A session.
